The delicious Jolly Ranchers have been around since the 1960s and are without a doubt one of the most iconic candies you can think of.
I remember absolutely obsessing over these as a kid, I also remember my mum passionately yelling at me for picking out only the watermelon and blue raspberry flavored candies out of the bag.
However there are many more flavors available, I believe there are 5 in total, but there could be more. The flavors range from watermelon, green apple, grape, cherry. and blue raspberry.

Now imagine your favorite flavor, paired with a frozen icee drink texture and a touch of Vodka, doesn’t that sound like the absolute perfect drink? It does to me!
Today, I’ll be sharing one of my all-time favorite slushie recipes, called the Jolly Rancher Vodka Slush.
Fun fact about Jolly Rancher Candy
Jolly Ranchers were invented by Bill and Dorothy Harmsen, a couple who opened a candy store in Golden, Colorado. They sold the company to Hershey in 1996. Today, the candies are produced in Mexico – maybe we should call them “Jolla Rancher”? 😉
Jolly Rancher Vodka Slush Ingredients
- 1 cup of ice (only when preparing in a blender)
- 1 cup of vodka
- 10 Jolly Ranchers of one flavor (watermelon, cherry, blue raspberry, green apple or grape)
- ⅔ cups of Sprite (or sparkling water)
Where to Get the Ingredients for Jolly Rancher Vodka Slush?
All the ingredients required for the preparation of the Jolly Rancher Vodka are super common and can be acquired at any convenience store or supermarket.
Jolly Rancher Vodka Slushies Recipe Preparation in a Slushie Machine
Step 1
Put the Jolly Ranchers in a mason jar and combine it with the 1 cup of vodka, then put on the lid of the mason jar.
Step 2
Let them sit in the fridge for 24 hours, and occasionally shake up the jars to encourage the candies to dissolve.
Step 3
After 24 hours, Jolly Ranchers should completely dissolve into the Vodka, pour this mixture into the slushie machine
Step 4
Continue by adding the ⅔ cups of Sprite (or sparkling water) to the slushie machine and turn it on to the “SLUSH” mode.
Step 5
Give the slushie machine about 5 minutes to process and turn the liquid into the famous Jolly Rancher Vodka Slush, feeling excited yet? 🙂
Step 6
When the slushie machine produces your preferred consistency, serve the frozen drinks immediately.
Remember – since it is a frozen drink, the longer you wait – the faster it’ll melt, thus we recommend that you either serve immediately or use the “PRESERVE” function on the slushie machine to prevent the slushies from melting.

Jolly Rancher Vodka Slush Preparation in a Blender
Step 1
Put the Jolly Ranchers in a mason jar and combine it with the 1 cup of vodka, then put on the lid of the mason jar.
Step 2

Step 3
After 24 hours, Jolly Ranchers should completely dissolve into the Vodka, pour this mixture into the blender.
Step 4
Continue by adding the ⅔ cups of Sprite (or sparkling water) and the cup of ice to the blender.
Step 5
Don’t forget to add the blender cover to the top of the blender and then periodically mix and blend by using the “PULSE” function on your blender. This will give us the perfect slushie texture.
Step 6
Stop when you get your desired texture and serve to your guests immediately to prevent the slushies from melting. Enjoy!
